Integumentary

Integumentary physical therapy focuses on conditions of the skin and related organs, such as wounds and burns. Surgical debridement, pulsed lavage wound cleansing, dressings, and topical agents can be used to remove dead tissue and encourage tissue healing. Exercise, edema control, splitting, and compression garments are also used in certain instances.
